What is local ventilation?

Local ventilation is a ventilation method of collecting and discharging the harmful materials discharged by the generation source before they spread over the workplace.

Advantages

• As a local ventilation system collects and removes the harmful materials at the generating source, it has a higher efficiency than a total ventilation system which removes harmful materials by diluting the workplace polluted by the harmful materials.
• A local ventilation system is more economical than a total ventilation system as the required air flow rate is smaller than that of total ventilation system.
• A local ventilation system can also remove dust.
